My name is Marie and I live in Linköping, Sweden. I have been interested in miniatures and dolls for as long as I can remember. It is something special with bringing dead material to life. I try to make the dolls as realistic as possible and I find new things to improve all the time. I started to make my own dolls before I learn to read. At first I used an air drying clay for children, but when I was 11 years old I got in touch with a doll maker and I took two courses in making porcelain dolls. A few years later I bought my own moulds and started to make miniature porcelain dolls at home.
It turned out to be tricky because I didn’t have my own kiln and the dolls faces didn’t always fit the doll I wanted to make. I started sculpting my own dolls. At first I tried different types of clay but puppenfimo fitted me best.
